Fairmont Commercial Furniture ("Fairmont", "we", "us") operates schoolfurnitureshop.com.au. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information, and how you can access or correct it. What we collect
When you request a quote, use the contact form, or subscribe to receive a product list by email, we collect:
- Your name and role (for example, teacher, business manager, principal)
- Your email address and phone number
- Your school or organisation name and its state or territory
- The details of your enquiry, including the products on your quote list
We do not collect payment information through this website. This site does not process payments — all orders are arranged through quotes.
Why we collect it
- To prepare and respond to your quote request
- To route your enquiry to the correct regional contact
- To send you a copy of your product list by email, where you have asked us to
- To follow up on your enquiry, and — only with your consent — to send you relevant updates
Marketing consent and unsubscribing
We only send marketing emails where you have consented, consistent with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every marketing email we send includes a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribe requests take effect promptly. Responding to your quote request is not marketing and does not require separate consent.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Our service providers — this website is hosted on Shopify, and form submissions are processed and stored by Shopify on our behalf. Shopify may store data on servers located outside Australia.
- Delivery and installation staff — name, address, and contact details necessary to deliver and install your order.
- Anyone required by law — where disclosure is required by Australian law.
How we store and protect it
Quote and contact submissions are stored in our Shopify store and in the email systems of our staff. Access is limited to Fairmont staff who need it to handle your enquiry. We retain enquiry records for as long as needed to service your account and meet legal obligations.
Access and correction
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing info@schoolfurnitureshop.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period. If you have a privacy concern we cannot resolve, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
